    Ram-ping up the difficulty

HEXUS.community members VictorE, duc and TAKTAK all had a hand in solving the last HEXUS.pipeline, but here's a new one to confound you. Clue: A type of smooth and initially tea take you to the show, not 40 yet! The answer is there...
    Watch the show.

    Re: Ram-ping up the difficulty

Looks like this RAM and cooler to me, way too tired to even think what clue that means yet

    http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=6634&page=3

A few seconds in is a picture of the underneath of the cooler

    http://img.hexus.net/v2/memory/corsa...er_iso-big.jpg ...I thiiiink.

Would the first part of the clue be, Smooth Sailing? ..corsair.. ship etc..

    Re: Ram-ping up the difficulty

This is one where the clue is independent of the video. And I'm not saying nowt more for a few hours as I've a load to be getting on with.

    Re: Ram-ping up the difficulty

Well it's definately a twin set of dominator RAM, with a cooler, I guess the clue will point to which set is the one in the video.

    Re: Ram-ping up the difficulty

i'm going to try the 'overly complicated' approach again.. it might make sense, might not, but it does form an answer if you think about it..

privateers - pirates - they use corsair ships..

initially Tea - word begins with T - TwinX

take you to the show - google it and this pops up http://www.web.net/~choir/ucc84_199905.htm - salute to the new millenium - year 2000 - ram speed in mhz

    not 40 yet - not 4096 mb ram - 2048 mb instead

bung it all together you get the 2GB(2x1GB) CorsairTwinX XMS3 Dominator DDR3 PC3-16000(2000)

but hang on a second, i missed out 'smooth' and where did i get dominator from. well have a read of this.. http://www.epinions.com/review/Domin...t_209754230404

    Dominator Tires...A smooth responsive ride
as i said - overly complicated, but it fits so perfectly it has to be right, doesn't it?

my head hurts with all this thinking..

    Re: Ram-ping up the difficulty

Video shows Corsair Airflow and Dominator DDR3 (square notches as oppose to round ones on DDR2) memory.

Clues...OK, this is more guess work than anything else.

    Privateers = Corsair (wiki)

"A type of smooth and initially tea take you to the show, not 40 yet!"

"A type of Smooth" (EVEN) and "Initially tea" (T) = EVENT

"not 40 yet!" = So presume is 39

thus, EVENT 39 takes you to the show.

Putting this into hexus url generator gives you: http://www.hexus.net/content/event.php?event=39.

The only show which is Privateer related is this: http://www.hexus.tv/show/2007/07/COM...orsair_s_DDR3/. Rich, from Corsair, talks to Nick during COMPUTEX 2007 about the latest DDR3 memory, specifically the Dominator 1600MHz.
