    A variety of Corundum...

    Well looks like the new sapphire 1GB HD4850.

    The sapphire clue made sense with a quick google (no jewel expert I'm affraid lol).

    Well if 'numerically average' is 50 then 'two point variance' would be 48 so 4850 make sense... not 100% sure if 'Safe!' is part of the clue or not...

    so Sapphire 4850 is my best guess right now
