I see Freespace 2 is in that banner pic.
To anyone who has never played Freespace:
You must buy it. You REALLY must buy it.
Oh, and once you've bought it, get fs2_open, apply all the new effects packs, and play it through... amazing.

I got a beta access key from them yesterday but had no time to log in and have a look; Funnily enough I was busy re-playing System Shock 2!

Re: News - Good Old Games to offer classic PC titles for download
No, not quite like elite.
But it's in space, you shoot things... and there's some really big ships with gigantic weaponry that can tear you to pieces.

I see 2 I fancy straight away. Giants : Citizen Kabuto and also Sacrifice. Both great games, I have the box for Sacrifice but can't find the disk!!!

No, it's more in the vein of Wing Commander - ie scripted missions.
BUT they are awesome. It's one of the most atmospheric games I've played, of any genre. Creeping through a nebula, sensors severely hampered.. then.. :help:

If they put Crimson Skies on and make it work with modern graphics cards I'll be there.
Is there a list of what games they have anywhere?

Finally got my access code, so currently downloading Fallout and Freespace 2.
Can't think of a better way of spending £6 at the moment...
Noticed that you get MP3s of the soundtrack available to download as well - nice touch

Isn't it the precursor to Bioshock? Very similar play style if I remember correctly?
