    Reverse a tricky reynard?

TAKTAK scored with the first touch on our last HEXUS.pipeline, so this time I've really gone for it with the clue: A binary existence? A mere aquila sorted for a runway...

    Re: Reverse a tricky reynard?

I have to agree with chuckskull it the Foxconn ELA, iP45

Reverse a tricky reynard? = could be in relation to Reynard the fox a trickster = foxconn

The nose bleeds have started already with the other 2 clues.. love the challenge tho..

    Re: Reverse a tricky reynard?

reverse a tricky reynard - well reynard is a fox who lives on google, he's a bit of a trickster who con's people. reverse it to get foxconn

get a life , binary existence - binary = digital, 0/1 all that malarky so it's part of the digital life series of motherboards.

have a quick looksy around the foxconn website for the motherboards. realise the scan website is a bit easier to navigate so look on there instead...

find out its the Foxconn ELA which is what chuckskull said.

just need the mere aquilla sorted for a runway clue to get ELA, not sure how to yet..

    edit:

woohoo got the ELA bit.. aquila is a type of aircraft.. a mere one is light.. and it was experimental.. so its an ELA.. experimental light aircraft..http://www.pilotfriend.com/experimental/acft/17.htm

    wheres mah cookie..

    Re: Reverse a tricky reynard?

What can I say but WOW!

Stevie's solution is far more complex than the one I wrote the clue from...

Mere is another name for lake and aquila is another name for eagle... so that gives 'lake eagle'

The 'sorted' bit means you have to sort lake and eagle, which gives you eagle lake.

'for a runway' was a clue to an airport, and if you punch that into Google you'll get Eagle Lake Airport which has the three letter code of ELA.

And now I've written that lot, I like Stevie's way better!

Anyhoo, big props to him, new pipeline on the way.

    Re: Reverse a tricky reynard?

    Woohoo..

so when I reach 1000 posts I'll have a tankard full of sammyc's tea* and bag of HEXUS branded cookies winging it's way to me through the post.. oh the joy! can't wait.

NICK - you have to try harder with the clues. try and find some old technology lying around the office that no-one can remember what it was. C64 tape drives, NForce 2 motherboards and stuff like that, all this modern stuff is too easy.

Everyone else - the answers mostly come at night.. mostly..

*for sammyc tea references have a look in the welcome area of the forum.
