Ill try this mod in a few, i havent really had problems with enthusiast at getting a maximum FPS its more todo with a steady one which no setting gives >.<. Maybe the other mods will have co-op finally because that is something that would be VERY good for crysis.
It's not disimilar to my command line hacks in the other thread - but it does turn off motion blur entirely. It doesn't enable the underwater effects though (which I really like). The biggest straight increase with speed is killing off AA for me. I notice depth of field is off too.
I don't turn off motionblur and I reduce the shadow textures more too. With no AA this runs very well on an 8800GTX and has more eye candy.Quote:

After using it for about 10mins i have seen little if any different, looks slightly worse without any extra performance that i can see and it crashed just now so i think its better on normal :P.
Is there something like this for Mass Effect? My 9800gtx at 1920x1200 averages less than 20fps as far as I can tell
I was trying my own config file for a cheap very high setting, (with a couple of things changed). Just got Warhead today, will try it with and without
If you read the thread it basically reduces some options (which have been around since Crysis) & the 'modder' openly states this, not quite the amazing performance increase noted as it does reduce IQ.
I tried this config last night. To be honest I thought it adversely affected IQ a touch too much so went back to my own autoexec.cfg that I meticulously crafted for Crysis.
So it works for some, and not for others.
I would have thought that an official patch will come out eventually (there hasn't been one yet, has there?) that will automatically test things like this and get better fps - but maybe not.
It's basically the same engine as the first Crysis - so all the tweaks have been around for a while. It's still a killer compared to everthing else tho!
