Re: News - MSI's secret Wind-weapon: the fabled nine-cell battery

the wind is still WAY overpriced for this market, and i don't think a (admittedly nice) 9-cell will help that

that said, HP are the worst offenders on price

Rumours are that Asus are doing something for all day use on the Eee too, perhaps a bigger battery. I've recently got an Eee PC (1000H) and the battery life on that has really surprised me (in a good way!)

Second half of 08? Which we're in... wouldn't surprise me if we didn't hear something soon, possibly.

I did a fair bit of research before trying the netbooks (and persuading myself that I needed - well, wanted - one) and the Eee 1000H seemed to fit the bill best. The only keyboard I found better to use was the HP Mini Note but that was horribly overpriced and underperforming. Still, it's an interesting market to be watching/involved in at the moment.

seen 9 cells available on ebay for about £50. Anyone know if they fit flush with the wind or protude out the back(and if so how much?)
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/9-cell-6600mAh...3286.m63.l1177 as an example(there are quite a few popping up now).

This is a 6600mah battery. There also seem to be some 7200mah batteries popping up but they protude from the back a bit.
