To provide the touch functionality it's probably going to ship with some sort of overlay, just a full screen program running on XP (this is what HP do with their similar device AFAIK)... think Media Centre in MCE or Vista...

Small touchscreen devices (iPod Touch etc) work great. But I remain to be convinced about the same technology for larger screens on computers - you'll be watching your films/games on a screen with fingerprints all over it!
