News - GOG moves into open beta, promises DRM-free classics for the masses

FreeSpace 2 looks amazing, been checking out the Open Source Mods and BtRL as well, simply stunning for an engine almost a decade old! :)

OMG... I've been wanting a copy of Descent for ages now, could never find a decent place to download it from! it is now downloading as I type, so shall see how it goes... for £3.50 or thereabouts it's hard to go wrong really :) :rockon2:

Looks a really good service :D I remember MDK when it came out I was interested in it but not interested enough to pick it up there are a lot of games from back then like that so now I can go back and get all the games I missed out on first time around :D

Hows the service seem so far?
Thinking of getting toca 3, do you play it through another program like steam or do you just get a compressed file to install from?

went fine
you download a compressed installer, agree to the eula and select where to install. there is no extra software to run. if you run the game under vista it also installs to the games menu.
