Oh please, you mean like they did with the OOXML/ODF farce not that long ago? Microsoft don't join open standards organisations to play nice with them, they join them to throw their weight around and ensure they end up with the most control over the standards. Here we go again...The brownie points for being nice and open-source won't do Microsoft any harm either.
