Ideal for all those people at BP who will be getting £1,000,000,000 bonuses.

In case the government are wondering where all the money has gone: Look! The Petrol companies have got it!

Going OT here, but that will be precisely zero people then.

And at least BP are a UK based company paying UK taxes. Yes they made £6.4bn this quarter, but think of how much tax has been payed on that, one hell of a lot. Oh, and only a tiny percentage of that profit comes from the sale of petrol and diesel.

    Sir,
You appear to have left out my modus operandi of leaving mainly irreverent and quasi-humourous posts. That said, I had in mind the kind of person like the power company executive who recently said, in response to the question "what effect will fuel rises have?", "We'll make more money", and an eye to the fact that despite brent crude cuts, we have yet to see a drop in petrol prices on the scale of the drop in price of the crude. this kind of sums it up.
    Sincerely,
    etc

    edit: and this
