this is bad!
Sky Broadband are a brilliant ISP, they don't need to go and ruin it by buying Tiscali, stupid BSkyB!
So, I'm with Nildram. Who were bought by Pipex, then Tiscali and now potentially by BSkyB.
Amazingly my service hasn't suffered through all this. I guess it goes to show you should pay for a decent ISP.
..and that you can't ALWAYS judge an ISP by who owns them - we have quite a lot of business ADSL connections with Nildram, and they've always been pretty good with us.
I hope they do
Over the last few years most half decent ISPS have been killed off, pipex purchased nildram. then bulldog then Tiscali purchased pipex which imo was a huge mistake
Sky need to sort their CS out but they do have a good system
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?
Another monopoly rising out of the mist. Sigh.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Tiscali can only hopefully get better with this move. Although actually my connection at home isnt all that bad compared to what I hear Tiscali is like in other parts of the UK.
I'm with Tiscali and after trying ISP's like Sky and Carphonewarehouse (spits on the ground) I think Tiscali broadband is excellent but I really think it depends on where you live and what exchange your linked too. I have heard bad things about Tiscali but so far it's proved to be the most stable and fastest broadband I've had for where I live.
If the Carphonewarehouse buy Tiscali I would leave before the ink was dry on the cheque they used to buy Tiscali. I think they are by far the worst ISP out there and don't get me started on their customer service...
