    News - Synology launches two-bay Disk Station DS209+

    It's now been at least a fortnight since Seagate 1.5TB HDDs have been available, giving a maximum storage space in this NAS of 3TB (before formatting!). Unless I'm missing something, and this NAS only supports up to 1TB HDDs, it's really time articles like this should take into account the increasing size of HDDs - this is the second such article misquoting the maximum HDD size.

    We would not assume that the 1.5TB drives would work we can only go off a size which is verified by the manufacturer.....

    I will ask Synology for you if it will work.

    there's no reason why Synology's 2.6.15 Linux kernel shouldn't - unless they use a very very broken SATA controller
