    Re: News - RED unveils interchangeable and upgradeable DSMC system

    only thing that really hinders these cameras against ones such as the panavision genesis is the use of CMOS sensors, the image quality just isnt quite as good and even thought he weight, size and price is lower most seem to opt for the CCD alternatives. I dont remember reading about that epic camera anywhere though so thanx hexus il have to research that!

    If your interested in this stuff then check out the olympus octavision, arri D21 and the affor mentioned panavision.

    That does all sound very, very cool.

    I like the modular approach, and their industrial design is fantastic too.

    I watched this lowly build up on the reduser.net forum - Jannard *really* knows how to build up the suspense!

    The modular system looks amazing, and if the quality of their first product - The RED ONE, is anything to go by, then we'll have a revolution on our hands come 2009!

    As I said on another forum where this was featured;

    Constructicons, transform phase one!

    Transform phase two!

    Looks amazing
