    Does anyone find that the fans on these HIS coolers and the Akasa Vortex have a rubbing sound regardless how slow you run them.

    ++

    I got an X800 with an IceQ fan, and other than being obnoxiously noisy, the fan died just after warranty. I went and grabbed a Zalman GPU cooler and my ears were blessed with silence after that.

    Which Zalman cooler? I was thinking of getting one for my CPU and graphics card, but was always of put by price, so I went for a £200 water kit instead! lol

    This was a few years ago, so it was the old one-sided 'Flower' design. Couldn't be bothered looking up the model number. But it's rather distinct.
