Did you know you can also bump the quality of videos as well?
If you add "&ap=%2526fmt%3D18" to the URL (basically you need to URL encode the string &fmt=18) you get higher quality feeds if they are available. What isn't documented is the ability to add fmt=22 to the URL to get even higher quality feeds.
I think this is only for embedding though, not 100% sure

If you have Firefox, get yourself an addon called Greasemonkey and then get the following script - YousableTubeFix
Allows you to show the videos in all sorts of sizes (as well as many other options)

Huzzah...my video on youtube is in the proper aspect (albeit, I got the pixel ratio wrong in the video so its abit squashed for 16:9).
