    Hamster charges mobile phone

    Remember all the jokes about the hamsters going on strike, or the hamster wheels no longer turning? It was bound to happen that it would become a reality, as a student modified his hamster's wheel to enable him to charge his mobile phone.
    Peter Ash, of Lawford, Somerset, attached a generator to his hamster's exercise wheel and connected it to his phone charger.

    Elvis does the legwork while Peter charges his phone in an economically and environmentally friendly way.
    [Ananova]

    2 minutes of trundling gets Peter half an hour of talk time. Pretty nifty!
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    His paper to accompany the project MUST have been a complete mess to have only scored a "C" on the project itself and a D in the class. Too bad tho, I thought it deserved a A for ingenuity and creativeness.

    my electronics project broke the day before evaluation, and i had only had < 3 months GCSE educaiton, i got a A for my project........ can't see how he failed.

    I'd like to setup the hexus small furry geek animal races.

    What we do is let people pitch their hampsters against gerbals, only instead of the useual tooth-to-furr action, we get a bunch of hampster wheels wire up some generators, and their have to shock the opersitions owner until they can't take anymore. Also i want exclusive rights to the televising, and betting of this sport. oh and 2012 olympics take note

    Maybe Peter should have spent less time on the phone and more time on his projects.

    Re: Hamster charges mobile phone

    Somewhere a venture capitalist is rubbing his hands with glee and wondering if this can be out in time for christmas... Given the amount of useless USB gadgets (is there a hamster in a wheel USB thing?) then this would be a great alternative: hamster wheel with USB +5V output

    Hamsters using mobile phones while driving is almost as bas as them falling asleep at the wheel.
