Few of the images there have no character shadows so guessing it is still a little while off so plenty time to get the visuals up to spec. Its about time Tekken series starting being seen on other systems instead of just playstation.

I hope that we will see multi arena combat like dead or alive and soul calibur utilise. eg Hit someone down stairs or through glass to reveal another area.

In that case it wouldn't be Tekken anymore..

There's far too much stochastic in multi arena combat to be 'tournament' friendly..

Tekken has always taken its tournament pedigree very seriously, so I doubt its going to happen..

Played the Arcade version, hope they'll get the balance sorted in BR and release that or else its far too biased towards Mishima and cheap-scrub classes like Bob...

I think as well that Tekken has never been to be technically advance in terms of graphics and all.. it just needs to do enough to make it look next gen... the meat in Tekken is the fighting which I must say 'controversially' it wins hands down as the most versatile and successful tournament fighter...

VF is really just for anal combo/punish memorizing group of folks, DOA is just for men who likes to look at good looking anime girls in very little dress, and SC is sort of half way between VF and Tekken but falls short being too scrubby-exploit friendly.

    Re: Screenshots - Tekken 6 - Xbox 360, PS3

its just same old same old really by the looks of things, tekken has always been good but having played most of the others i cant really see myself rushing to get it, curiosity is a big part of why i buy a game and there is simply nothing to be curious about judging by those screenies really

    Re: Screenshots - Tekken 6 - Xbox 360, PS3

The dynamic environments in Tekken 6 are by no means excessive... It is around the same effects as the Shinjuku level in Tekken 4. Probably worth 1/2 extra HP on semi-wall combos until the thing breaks.

I don't think it even affects the balance by much unless you see a large disparity between the skills of the players. the hard-on wall combos and okizimi is still the meat here...

But the dynamics isn't as excessive as say DOA where you see people flying off rooftops and jumping off waterfalls like those leap of faith in Tomb raider series...

Tekken DR is well worth the £12 download. Indeed i prefer this to Tekken 5 (still play the odd game of DR when mates are round) plays very well.

not opinion really, DR is better balanced (Steve was nerfed tbh ), one of the main aims of the game.

But yeah, i meant tekken 5 generally including DR, still the best beat em up i've played lately after soul calibur lost its way.

Tekken is a good game, but I think 2009 will be the year of the Street Fighter. Street Fighter has been away too long and it is finally making it's long awaited return.
