Looks a bit cheesey in places but it's probably good, at least Gambit is in it.

I think it will DC's year again though with Watchmen out in March (I think).

Re: News - X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie trailer

I'm wondering which way they will go with this. Wolverine started with the WeaponX project and was found wandering in a wood with no memory of what had happened to him.

Looks pretty good though must admit, first 2 X Men films were good, found the 3rd one quite poor with the usual hollywood killing off key characters.

Good for you mate, teach your nipper proper forum ettiquette at an early age

as for Wolverine, looks great but wish they had done more with X men, story half finished and badly filmed at the end...

Not sure on Watchmen, hard to see Batman needing anyone else after The Dark Knight

Re: News - X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie trailer

Trouble is, Watchmen probably won't appeal to all.. as the characters aren't mainstream ones... it'll be a good ones for fans of the novel however.

Re: News - X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie trailer

Yeah it will be a shame if watchmen

    A) cuts out too much of the story (which it doesn't sound like it will)

    B) doesn't get the audience it deserves

I think the advert is misleading people into thinking it's something that might dissapoint judging from comments I've seen from people who don't know what it is.

Re: News - X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie trailer

watchmen will be the longest superhero movie ever made spamming of around 3hours of runtime apparently. I am looking forward to that has its meant to follow the comics from teh ground up and looks set to actually develope the characters story far better then xmen did, hench why watchmen will be a 3 hour movie, longer the the dark knight unless their going to cut some bits out. watchmen looks like the movie that xmen SHOULD have been

i really hated all the xmen movies. it never followed the cartoon storylines that we all loved plus it felt too childish with not alot of grunt and voilence in it.

they did the movies really badly making cyclops a joyride character in the movies and rouge not able to fly and have super human strength plus no gambit?

The movies focused too hard on magneto where there are loads of villains they could of added like omega red and appocolypse.

overal a terrible movie that destroyed the francise for me really. This one judging from the trailers i am not too sure. it looks ok and seems to follow abit of the actual storylines. only time will tell if its good or not.

Re: News - X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie trailer

Rouge was a dissapointment but I suppose it would have taken a fair bit of time to get her the flying powers introudcing the character she took them from (can't remember her name).

I think X-Men was one of the ones that desperately needed to be one of Marvels own like Iron Man. I think they would have done it more justice and we deffinatly needed gambit in them.

Last time I looked the run time falls a bit short of 3 hours for watchmen but not by much so it should be long enough to get most of it across. I think they have dropped the black freighter stuff but are doing some sort of Animated/comic style thing for the DVD. Hopefully thats the biggest loss to it, even though I enjoyed that in the novel, I didn't think it would work for the movie in a productive way.
