Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
Quote:
Sapphire's Bill Donnelly talks through the features of the HD4850X2 and explains to Nick why it's a worthy upgrade.
Watch the show.
Re: Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
LMAO what a goon, the hexus guys seemed to ask alot of time filling questions which was rathe annoying.
Re: Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
Wow. that was a complete advert.
That told us nothing new!
Re: Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
I'm sure i've seen this before......
That would coincide with why nothing being new to me.
Anyone else think that?
Re: Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
the hexus guy is a moron for not knowing about dvi to hdmi dongles.
Re: Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
Woah up on the insults there, buddy.
I really do hope that isn't the attitude you take with anyone who doesn't know something you do?
I'm sorry if you lot think this was a bit 'advert-y', it wasn't intended to be like that... What we wanted to do was talk about the card's value for money and the other stuff it could do other than play games and I honestly hadn't seen a DVI to HDMI dongle thing... does it make me a moron just because I didn't know? If so, yes, I'm moronic about plenty of stuff... in fact, everyone in the entire world is a moron as they don't know about everything... but I guess the biggest moron would be an intolerant one, wouldn't it? :)

I guess he assumed you should know becuase he does and you work for Hexus which is a computing website.
Re: Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
Does the guy who sells BMWs know how to change the gearbox? ;)
I don't test graphics cards and, contrary to popular belief, we don't all run the latest kit in our machines... so a DVI to HDMI dongle thingie was new to me...

hey yeah mate was only kidding.
i assume u did know abt hdmi to dvi dongles, and im sure you do.
sorry if i caused any offence.
Re: Sapphire double up with the HD4850X2
woah..comments seem rather harsh and elitist.
Sure, Bill was advertising the card but that's why he's there.
From an overall standpoint, the show gives enough answers to the general viewer/public. Does it matter if Nick really does or doesn't know about the HDMI/DVI dongle? At least it answers questions that prospective buyers may ask, ie can I run 4 monitors and if so does what are the downsides etc.
Perhaps Hexus could run another interview with Bill aimed at the enthusiast market with some real technical jargon. ;)

No probs dude.
And yes, I honestly had not heard of HDMI dongles things before...
Anyhoo, I've read all the comments here and I admit, it does come across a bit adverty, I'll make sure anything we do in the future is more informative. :)

Just confirms what i knew all along...
Sapphire are full of Dingle loving dinlows - that couldn't build a proper card if they brought and read cover to cover the idiots guide to graphics card building ;-)
