About bloody time.
A hell of a lot faster than if they'd been communicating over FSB! The memory bandwidth for the triple channel IMC is huge and should be no bottleneck at all.

is this a "true" 8-core, or is it two quads slapped together on one die, with the associated heat badness?
How long before we start seing these in the purple shirt place with signs say "Octo-Core Do-More", and the noobs telling you you need 8 cores to run music internet and email at the same time.
but you do Breezey... you need 8 cores to just boot into windows! Honest.

Well the fact that Vistas defualt option uses 1 core only which is stupid so even people with dual and qaud cores arnt using them, i relise is mostly down to the HDD but still.
