I reckon you could make it for £80 if you buy components in bulk... Probably less... mebbe pushing £50
And use old components...

They say it's wireless enabled - if someone can't afford over $10 to buy a laptop, how are they going to afford an internet connection? Anyway, it might be possible - maybe the government is putting all the money in and the $10 price tag is there so only people who need/want one will buy one ie so it isn't wasted.

However according to the BBCversion of the story (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7864806.stm The $10 figure was a mistake and the actual figure is probably more like $100...
