    Reviews - Street Fighter 4(IV) - Xbox 360, PS3

A glorious return of the popular beat 'em franchise. Street Fighter IV is sublime blend of classic gameplay and new ideas.

All they are missing is a tag team bit and Capcom would have rolled previous fighting games into this one...from the review Capcom have brought nothing new to the table.

How do you mean nothing new? You could aim that at just about any developer over the last 10 years. From the sounds of it (not just this review) SFIV is an evolution of SF2 a true sequal if u like which its fans (who are legion) will enjoy and is almost perfect in balance and play ability.

    Permanently confused

I personally think they had it right with SF Alpha, that was alot of fun. Things went crazy with the Marvel vs Capcom game and it sounds like this borrows alot.

Nothing new my foot. This game has been universally praised as pretty much the fighting game to end all fighting games.

    End of story.

Nice review Steven - maybe a touch MOAR proof reading though?

Having had my hands-on the game for the past week

    hands on

Blanka's Electric Rolling Attack and E. Honda Super Onimusou (flying headbutt,

    E. Honda's (flying headbutt)

as well as execute the powerful Super Ultras

There are Super moves, and Ultra moves, not sure if they are actually called Super Ultras though. (might be wrong)

FOCUS system now allows you to absorb attacks

The Focus system. (Haven't seen it all in caps anywhere else)

and finishing a round by using the likes of El Fuerte's El Fuerte Flying Gigabuster where he stands on his opponent's shoulders, locks his head with the his feet, and then launches him up in the air, somersaulting and then sending him crashing to the ground.

And finishing a round with the Flying Gigabuster where he crashes into the ground... is what?

while new playersl now have the chance to see what makes the Street Fighter franchise so special.

    players

Also not sure Seth being hard can be a con - it's the last Boss mate, it's supposed to be hard. Did you ever fight Alpha 152 on Dead or Alive 4?

Sorry Ste, not trying to get on anyone's nerves, just seems a bit rushed mate, that's all.

I loved the old SF games and i believe one was on the commodore amiga right?. Is there any 2v2 fighting? I never remember multiplayer supporting more than 2 players so it would be nice to have a 2v2 or something.
