Whats the point of the top screen being touch sensitive. No games will accomidate it as they will all still have to work on the older DS and lite.
Id buy it if the web browser had flash but i doubt it.
Totally pointless upgrade. As pointed out the 2nd touch screen won't get used otherwise they alienate people with an old DS. Plus battery life seems to be terrible. Another attempt to milk some more out of people.
There is no second touch screen according to Nintendo and just got this from Game:
Dear Customer,
You may have noticed that we have already contacted you this morning regarding the
Nintendo DSi, which was officially announced to the European market today.
Unfortunately we've had a bit of a hiccup!
In this email we listed the new features that can be expected with the DSi on launch.
One of these bullet points stated that the DSi will come with 2 touch screens, unfortunately
this is not the case.
The DSi will come with only one touch screen, the same as the DS, however both screens
on the DSi have been expanded to 3.25inches.
We're obviously sorry for this miscommunication, however we hope you share our colossal
excitement for the DSi release on the 3rd April.
Kind Regards,
The Customer Service Team

So in other words people are buying the upgrade for a crappy camera and a worse battery life. To me this trend or releasing updates to hardware is taking it too far. I used to think Sony had it right with releasing their console and then releasing a smaller version a few years later. Now we seem to be getting new revisions of hardware every few months.
i think the new ds looks good but i dont like the camera add on
Its working well in japan though
I wont be upgrading my DS to it but I can see the appeal for new ppl to the brand.
I didn't upgrade my original DS to a Lite and I won't be upgrading to this. It's a far sleeker product now but no major internal upgrades in 5 years is ridiculous. Imagine if your PC was just a slightly higher clocked version of what you had in 2004, maybe with a nice shiny case and a new webcam.
I would have a lot more respect for this if they had just concentrated increasing battery life, decreasing cost and maybe thrown in the SD card slot and music functionality. Nintendo got it pretty much right with the DS Lite, hence how well it's sold, which I guess is why they clearly had so much trouble thinking of something they can put in this to actually make it seem a plausible upgrade.
Not any major improvement + overpriced but I may buy one if I go aboard as it cheaper
