If they are going to put a cooler that big on it; which blocks using the next pcie slot on your motherboard, they might as well make the backing plate cover 2 slots as well. That way they could add on more connection options on the back plate or even an exhaust vent to vent some of the heat out of the case and not for it to be blown down into the case.
do you mean replacement or a rename?it's the replacement for the aging GeForce 9800 GTX+, according to the rumour mill.

i would be surprised if they bothered overclocking its balls all that much, cant wait to see what the canned reviews make of it, should be a lesson in skirting
