My thoughts exactly. I guess producing quality tech at competitive prices doesn't come with much of a profit margin.

Let's not forget that it's also a bad thing directly for Hexus, after all it's one less company to give them money to host their support forums and I'm betting advertising revenues are down as well, especially since they removed link words for people who are logged in.

Crying shame. Until the UCI acquisition they seemed to be going from strength to strength, at least from a customers(read:my) point of view, but I guess if that were true, the acquisition would never have gone ahead.

I've only ever owned one ABIT motherboard(My current IP-35), but was very impressed with it from the get go. It sent ABIT straight to the top of my list for my next upgrade.

HEXUS has always found its dealings with abit to be very honourable prior to the UCI acquisition and it has always met its liabilities. However this lack of an official statement from UCI seems to be symptomatic of a change since the acquisition, which has been detrimental to a creditor like HEXUS.

We sincerely hope on behalf of ourselves and all abit creditors and customers that UCI completes the liquidation in an honourable and correct way.

I hope your dealings are concluded fairly, I'd hate to see this cause problems for hexus or anyone else. It would be a horrid last act for a company that has a lot to be proud of.

Shame to see such a solid and well-regarded brand go, but in times like these, they aren't the first and no doubt won't be the last ..... and are certainly very far from the biggest.

And we don't yet know whether the world's economic troubles are levelling off, or still have potentially a long way to fall before that happens. Nervous times for all, including employees, home owners and company owners.

There goes the support for my motherboard as well, damn shame... bit annoying because I couldn't get the lan to work on windows 7 with it, hopefully the full release of W7 will support it.
