No kidding. I don't even find it impressive or attractive in any way. Never mind the fact you could get two fully-featured VAIOs for that price.

I think you're missing the point people.

You don't buy this if your budget is £500 or you want to use it to transcode 1080 mkvs.

You buy it as a second PC for travelling - a 1.2GHz dual core is plenty fast enough for what these PCs will be doing for 99% of the time.

I've got a Sony TZ (also 1.2GHz but much older Intel GFX) and it does me fine as my travlling PC - I've got a system at home to do all the heavy duty stuff.

Again, hope the battery is good, because it's non-removable.

    £1,649 = Fail.

The XPS laptops look good, have far better specs, and are cheaper. I actually prefer the look of the XPS's.

With this sort of money I could easily build a Core i7 rig and still have cash to spare for a netbook. The price is rediculously high.

You could afford a 24" screen, top GPU, you could splash out on a custom paint job...

    £1649 / £230 (Lenovo S10E offer on ebuyer) = 7.17 netbooks.

You'd be a pretty good system builder to get that all in under 2kg and portable enough to fit in a slipcase ... what sort of battery are you using?

I cant see any benifit in buyig one of these over a top end netbook like the HP 2140 for less than 1/3 of the price, granted its an atom over a core 2 but theres not going to be a great deal in it, and when ION hits well its going to be game over for dell on this one imo.
