looks nice, but i see a lot of BS there. do people really need clear packaging for their laptop? I mean once you unpack it, that's it isn't it? you just throw the box in the cupboard and to hell with it.
I hope Dells quality control for this is better than recent times; my recently purchased E6500 has been plagued with issues
il take a macbook pro thanks... im pretty sure most other people looking for this kind of thing would also.
When you buy an all aluminium laptop you dont want stupid patterns engraved in it, you want it to be smooth and sleek, mouse looks pretty normal no special design there, 1.2Ghz with 720p... good luck playing any x.264, why does it have a big bit stickin out the back?.
If your gunna copy apples ideas you gotta do it better than them to be honest, id love to see someone produce a nice sexy laptop that is cooler than a macbook/pro but this isnt it.
Dell - If your going to compete with Apple you need to A) Do a product that looks as good or preferably better B) Be cheaper - Not that I understand it but that Apple logo commands a good 20% price premium.
Whats wrong with Mac OSX? i understand people frustration with apples arrogance of selling lower end parts for more money justy for the cool factor but the operating system is very very good and unless its for gaming or testing purposes, dont see the point in switching the op-sys.
Not too bad outside (but as biscuit said: why does a bit "jut out" at the back?)
Ugly "inside" - 1.2ghz? Come on. That's P3 era. (Well, almost.)
Super ugly promo videos. The technician had absolutely no enthusiasm for what he was saying, and the guy "selling" it tried to say "this will make you look cool". The model/woman that came on every other minute to give a fake smile didn't do much either. That second video was just plain daft. 'nuf said.
If I had of been thinking about buying one of these Adamo's, the 2 videos would have persuaded me - persuaded me not to buy, that is.
DELL - your PR team needs a stern telling off...
Well you have to remember a 1.2Ghz C2D is equal to like 3Ghz pentium 4 D or something along those lines (feel free to correct me with exact comparison) because of more advance architechture... other than that yeah spot on the promo vids where aweful.
Apples advertisement (whilst i dont agree with their methods at all) really compliments thier design methods wheras this tends to give me the impression Dell just dont have a clue.
Looks horrible IMHO...
I much prefer the Voodoo Envy 133, even if it is HP...
I don't remember this far back... C2d was a "large" jump forwards, but perhaps 1.5x rather than 2.5x, so maybe 1.8ghz. (For single core P4s you're probably right, though.)
Don't you like HP then? (I do. Had two good machines out of two so far.)
Dell Adamo battery not user-replaceable
Been taking lessons from apple
