Slotting in to the mini-PCIe present in most notebooks, the drive will be available in either SATA (110MB/s read, 51MB/s write) or PATA (45MB/s read, 35MB/s write) flavours and in capacities of 16GB and 32GB.

At a sustained write speed of 25MB/s the SATA drive isn't going to set any records, but the 32GB model should come in at around £60, matching Crucial's current offering.
I am confused. Are there multiple typos? Assuming that PATA drive is the one with the slower speed (which makes sense, though is surprising given PATA should not be bottlenecked at that speed yet), is it 25 or 35MB/sec (the former is comparable to an USB HD)?

also, how can they be sata/pata but have a mini pcie connector?

There are two drives - SATA and PATA.
The 25MB/s is the sustained transfer speed of the SATA drive, while, presumably, it bursts at 50MB+.
