By the way there is some inconsistency here.
"The competition winner will be picked at random from all eligible entries that arrive by midnight of the closing date, April 19th 2009"
"The competition closes at midnight on Monday 4th May, and all correct entries will be entered into our prize draw from which three lucky winners will be chosen. The winners will be picked shortly after the competition closes, so good luck to all those who enter!"
Think they copy/pasted the rules from the laptop competition. Now I've entered the Antec case + psu, sapphire 4870 vapour-x, laptop, inno3d gtx 260 oc/ 9800gtx and this one
We will fix it....
Entered! Good luck everyone!
Nice going Hexus, great job on the competitions. Keep 'em comin' please
/me thinks DRs been busy lining up competitions
entered
and not wanting to be a ungrateful smeg but when are the other competitions going to be sorted out
ie that 2nd £75 voucher to spend at advancetec.co.uk compo - did anyone win that
same goes for the Inspiron 1735 competition
actually I am going to be an awkward sod and request the details of the winners for those competitions
also I've won some of the competitions in the past , yet never received any notification of that fact and only found out when the postie popped them through the letter box
How do they know where to send the prixes?
Ive just bought one of these from ebuyer after having it on pre for weeks and reading about how great they are the first one i recived was that noisy/faulty i requested an RMA from ebuyer and ordered a replacement which came today so i swapped the faulty one for the replacement and boxed the faulty one up to return to ebuyer the good news was that the first one was indeed faulty as the replacement is near silent.
Now to the product i had a top end Xigmatek HSF which this replaces and if I'm honest its about as good at cooling as the HSF but twice+ the price. At setting 1 or 2 its a little bit quieter than the HSF but setting 3 is very loud but does cool more so that would only be used in extreme cases. If I'm honest its not worth it there are some issues the control panel is a nice feature if you have a case that you can see into as you can see the temps and fan speed on the display but this is my main issue if you want to change the fan speed you need to take the side of the case to change the speed unless you have a case like mine that comes off with a click and pull it is a real pain.
One thing i really like is the company CoolIt when i had these issues i went on there dedicated forum and within an hour someone had replied and told me it was faulty and gave me the details to the main guy in Canada who i emailed and within a few hours i received an email from the guy telling me it was faulty and to try to return it to ebuyer if they wouldn't take it back he would see what he could do for me i even received a follow up email today to see how it was going so i would say there customer service is very good. Hats also off to Ebuyer for a quick RMA and shipping me the new one now for ebuyer to get a full 5 stars for customer service they will need to sort my faulty return out quickly and issue a refund.
Don't be afraid that your life will end ...
.... be afraid that it will never begin
Thank you for the feedback.
We are on top of this and now will be annoucing the winners in the original competition entry form (hence the new system being in place)
Advantec winner did happen - I will dig out the details.
I will also confirm the Dell winner (it was done via an agency hence we need to confirm for you)
cheers,
David
I have only been a regular reader of Hexus for the past couple of months. Your site is always informative, and with all these great competitions, it's just a bonus. Thank you Hexus!
