Why not take this to the next logical step, and allow customers to make up their own artwork? I bet there are millions of proud parents who would love the opportunity of displaying their kids artwork as the cover art for their notebooks, and lots of aspiring artists who would leap at the chance; might also help to snatch the market from Apple's marketing machine (you know, "you are a creative person so you must have an Apple" - right?!)
I also see no reason for this idea to be limited to Dell - just needs an imaginitive manufacturer to make white cases, and get to grips with the necessary printing technology. If you can get a coffee cup with your face printed on it, why not a laptop?
Why not a plastic sleeve so you can change the artwork etc. I'm gona stick a poly pocket on mine tonight!
Shame anything other then the very basic spec studio 15 costs an absolute arm & a leg, and thats before you add the designs (which will set you back more limbs & your first born...)
