News - Intel puts its feet up, pushes Core i5 back to September

With Core 2 still going strong, it seems Intel's in no hurry to launch mid-range Nehalem parts.

    Prices are not very tempting.

I think they are, if the cost of the other parts (motherboard, full channels RAM) is so much less than i7.

On the one hand, I'm disappointed and slightly annoyed that Intel are being so complacent and denying us consumers access to this new and interesting technology. However, on the other hand I am slightly relieved because it makes waiting until next year to upgrade very slightly easier, now that there are two fewer months of temptation!

That's good as I'm looking to build a middle to high end quad core pc.. But now these will be new technology when I decide to build so I'll probably be buying one of these.. depending on performance and OC'ing.. and price!
