    That's a big chip. But, (if I remember correctly, then this is an interesting fact,) the fabrication processes we have today technically allow us to create over 10 times that per chip.

    Essentially our process technologies are now better than our ability to get transistors onto them. The problem lies in things such as verification, connecting the bits of the chip together, and of course power/heat.
