There was a response to this:
http://kotaku.com/5296976/sony-respo...ch-playstationActivision head honcho Bobby Kotick has been doing some saber rattling over at the giant publisher, saying that they may need to "stop supporting Sony" come 2010 or 2011. The folks at Playstation, though, don't seem fazed.
"PlayStation has tremendous momentum coming out of E3, and we are seeing positive growth with more than 350 titles slated to hit across all our platforms, including many anticipated games from our publishing partners," said Playstation spokesman Patrick Seybold. "We enjoy healthy business relationships with and greatly value our publishing partners and are working closely with them to deliver the best entertainment experience."
Indeed Sony announced an impressive line-up of first and third-party PS3 and PSP titles at their annual retailer meet-up Destination Playstation and then spent a bulk of their E3 press conference whipping through triple-A title after triple-A title.
As interesting as it is to read about some publishing exec making vague threats, I'd be much more interested to learn what really prompted this. Perhaps we should be reading more into Kotick's comments in the same article about the royalties that Activision is having to pay out to Sony.
i don't own a PS3 cos the xbox and Wii are better.. simple asDo you own a PS3 and if not what has prevented you buying one? Is it too expensive? Let us know your thoughts in the HEXUS.community discussion forums.

Thanks for the link Stringent.
The common consensus appears to be that developing on a PS3 is more work than on rival platforms and if this is twinned with lower sales, you can understand why a third party might want to throw resources elsewhere, in order to guarantee a better return.
Game-playing this might be from Kotick but I'm sure it has its basis in truth and could lead to something with teeth.
Activision to ditch a massive franchise like Guitar Hero on Playstation? Not likely I don't think....
I wouldn't swap my PS3 for any other console. I love the dualshock pads,no subscriptions, blu-ray, low noise and fact it plays anything using PS3 Media Server.
Each to their own I guess...
I was thinking of buying one but just never got round to it. I do own a 360 and the missus has a Wii

i have a PS3 and a 360, and I'll say that unfortunately apart from a few games, the PS3 is officially my media box, streams media from my server and plays all my blue rays's.
PS3 is great . only got two games since i havent got much funds atm. of course the other great thing about it is the bluray player. plus Iplayer full screen on my TV.
ive always liked the PlayStation controller design.

i couldnt care less about Activision tbh. diddnt really enjoy COD4 nore do i care about rock band or whatever its called.
I was going to buy the PS3 back in November 08, But opt'ed for a XBOX 360 for just $200.00, and now i have seven 360 games and i don't play the XBOX 360 that much. I do my main gaming on a custom built PC, way more GPU power there. So he has good reason to be upset about the PS3 costing too much because he just lost money to a guy that dosen't really care about console's go figure,,,,,
