So far Hexus haven't tested a Yukon platform's gaming capabilities (the dv2 they reviewed had a discreet 3400-series card), but that might be the telling stroke. If it could manage even 15fps at its native res that would make a number of games playable (particularly rts / rpg / turn-based startegy games) - something the 945 chipset can't do. Of course, When Congo does come out that will be a huige step-increase in graphics power again...
i appreciate your point, but the difference isn't that compelling (the x1250 was always a ropey GPU) especially considering how close congo/conesus is to release (which by comparison was always considered an awesome integrated GPU).

i guess i just find it frustrating because it is so close to being my ideal netbook, so close......................

    Am I right in thinking:

    GMA950 < x1250/x1270 < 3200/3400 < 9400

Where GMA950 is whats in most netbooks now and the 9400 is in ION package?

Currently road-tripping around America and just picked up one of these from BestBuy in Montana (no sales tax!) as my Dell X1 died a sorry death.

First unit I bought had faulty memory so that went back, no issues with swapping it out. The replacement has been faultless.

I'm not much of a gamer anymore - well, bar Football Manager. I did try the WoW trial on it, and it struggled on low settings at native resolution in crowded areas - it was however noticeably better than my X1.

The screen is gorgeous, keyboard nice to type on, and it manages ok with vista. It can become sluggish when multi-tasking but its certainly faster than the X1 (as expected).

The build quality seems excellent, the guy in the shop said it was basically an Acer.

Its a shame the specs have been dropped for UK users who buy it in PB form.

For what I paid, ~260gbp ($400) I am well chuffed.

    Hear that, Tarinder / Parm?
Thank you That's the performance gap between Neo and Atom we expected to see...

These are gorgeous. Nicer than the EE series.
