seems nice but pretty much all the same features and more are in my fav browser which is getting updated soon (opera)

Think I got auto updated to it a few days ago, and it runs fine for me....

The only thing I wish is that the British spellchecker actually had British spellings of words in it rather than bloody american ones *ARGH*

Im sure what its doing under the hood is great but just from looking, i dont like the fact that it always has a tab ondisplay, i much preferred the tab to be at the top if i had more than one open, also the new icon isnt as good!

Hasn't there been a 64 bit version for Linux for ages? Anyway, I'm not too comfortable with this 'location aware browsing' - something I'll be disabling. I think I'll stick with 3 for a bit until 3.5 matures.

Tools > options > tabs > uncheck "Always show tab bar" option .

Thanks - I always preferred having the tabs visible all the time and it's one of the things that frustrated me about Firefox 3.0! Changed that now

(incidentally, I've been using Opera preferrentially but its started to struggle and has become quite unstable recently - so maybe I'll go back to Firefox for a while...!)

Is that different from the British spell-checker for 3.0.x then? Mine has only British spellings and not American.

EDIT: Now using 3.5 and it's still British. 'Colour' is allowed, 'color' gives me the red line.

Yeah, I've seen that, but an officially supported and developed version would'nt go amiss. It's such a massive omission, most popular software now has a 64-bit counterpart!

there is 64bit java plugin.
