I'm flying with these people soon, not exactly reassuring!

And what the HELL is with their website, a free ticket ending up costing me £34? Still cheap but not exactly 'as advertised'. I thought the EU had already got involved with making the prices more upfront and honest? Ryanair seems to be ignoring them...

It won't get past health and safety i can tell you that much.

It's probaly just a marketing thing cause look at how much we are talking about them (in a a bad way though)

To be honest i'd also rather pay the extra to have a seat but then i'd never go on ryanair (but i am biased in my airline choices )

Re: News - Ryanair considers free journeys for those willing to stand

There is no way it would be allowed, what if the plane has to make a crash landing?

I'd say it's just another Ryanair publicity stunt, or a really badly thought through idea.

Re: News - Ryanair considers free journeys for those willing to stand

Imagine if something were to happen though, like an emergency sea landing or similar. Youd have 40 people flying down the aisle along with the food trolleys and the plastic women haha.

Free plus taxes, i.e. the same price as a normal air fare.
