i9 = 18 cores.
Dual processors = 18 x 2 = 36 cores.

36 x 2.4 = 86.4 GHz

Btw, how did u guys get 24 cores if theres supposed to be 36 ?

Either the artical is not about i9 or i9 only has 6 cores or i9 comes in 6, 8 and x core variants.

I guess we will find out in time which is correct.

There's various videos of Intel showing off their 192 threaded system on a Nehalem-EX combined server rack. They use task manager just to show all how many threads

The first one dunnington was 6 c 12 t, but I think later ones will expand into more cores to replace them.

Well based upon what I've read no one will be getting a slappin', expect me for needlessly upgrading my CPU in Q2/3 next year.

Should be okay this round, but it wouldn't be unlike Intel to change it later even if they keep the same socket.
