looks like it has a few interesting features (I like the idea of "piling" desktop items), but frankly the 3D aspect doesn't really interest me - I can't see it adding much to the experience of using my PC. if I want to feel like I work in a box I could always get a job in a cube farm... ;)
how are they going to check whether you have a sapphire card or not?
the only way i can think of that will stop people with other cards getting the full version, is to have a small program - like gpu-z - that gets the hardware codes and sends them to sapphire, then sapphire send you the link.
and the only download link i could find was in relation to the press pack. its at the bottom of this page http://www.sapphiretech.com/presenta...articleID=2216
It looks cool but seems to be a bit of a waste of resources. I use rocket dock which makes things a bit mac-like and keeps my desktop and start menu tidy.
And the porting of compiz begins.
It is only the 'Free' demo version... You must pay for the full thing, so no different than you can download from the BumpTop website anyway. All Sapphire have done is 'decorated' the wall with Sapphire logos!
@aidanjt: This looks a lot more intuitive and practical than Compiz!
I downloaded it for the hell of it, and I have to say.... It's completely rubbish, it's slowwwwwww, unbelievably limited, and does nothing to save desktop space, not in any way practically useful, oh and it's slow, did I mention it's slow?
