That sorta fun, or are you refering to:

"Hey Shaithis, I like installed Windows Vista on my machine yesterday, except when I try and use Word it takes like five minutes to open up and is slow."

I know the feeling.

Unfortunatly I once coursed the former issue back in my eariler IT days. Dad had a shiny new XP disk for his computer that was just waiting to be installed... so I installed it. Dad learned that day just how important backups are.

Well, firstly there is the whole driver issue.....

My game is running slow/not running/doing odd things...My scanner/modem/controller etc is not working

Then there are the idi...er, people, who installed fine......but where are my programs and documents? (Oh, did you choose to let it format your drive by any chance?)

Then you get the "I cannot remember my outlook settings"...Like I bloody know them!


I started distancing myself from freinds PC issues a while ago, most realise they are on their own now the majority of the time and I am the absolute last vestige of hope who will only point them in the general direction of their solution once they have exhusted all other avenues.......

I took a phonecall from a lady last Sunday asking if she could come in-store to purchase a new printer install disk.

When I told her you could download files off the internet for free to make it work she almost expired.
