Dual slot with dual DVI ports, HDMI and DisplayPort.. doesn't strike me as something hugely midrange!
I fully expect HDMI and DP to catch on quite rapidly and TBH, I now expect to see them on all cards, with DVI potentially starting to get phased out and replaced by HDMI.
Suppose so - and the card length is quite short, though it seems to have a goodly number of memory chips (unless they're on the back only, which would be odd).
That appears to be Codename Juniper based on the RV870 chip. Will probably end up being the 5850 or there about.
Hexus, Our Cat beat you to it earlier on, here: http://forums.hexus.net/graphics-car...sor-rv740.html
Why the 2 DVI? Just make 4 HDMI, which can be easily adapted to DVI...
What monitors nowadays have DVI ports any more?
4 HDMI would be useless, as a single GPU supports 2 monitors at one time from ATi or Nvidia, and my monitor (24") still has a DVI port... I bought it this year too
Both sides ;)
As it turns out, I think that the RV870 chip will indeed be top end chip that is uses for the dual gpu and high end (5870/5890 style) and Juniper will be RV840, which is 5850-ish. It's all still very much up in the air though, only a few people truly know it all.

o hai!
840 apparently
Another cheap ATI card me hopes, with lots of more features over horsepower! But i think i'll wait until Nvidia come out with their card before i decide which to get :)
Very nice, although the vent at the rear is rather small compared with other version. IS AMD trying to tell us something here that they have cracked the heat issue from these cards which believe me in the sumer time is enough to make you site at your computer in just your pants.
I would like to see HDMI connections only instead of DVI and HDMI.
