Surely it would be more benefitial to compare it to drives that are in the same market, right? How about the following:

http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...MPP-0VA00.html (cheaper than Crucial so it should lose)
    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...2-1SLD60G.html

    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/64GB-...s-Write-70MB-s
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/64GB-...135MB-s-Retail

Now these should make a better comparison, some are cheaper and some are more expensive but they are similar in size and their target market.
    Hi,

We've labelled this up as a preview because we felt that readers would be interested in at-a-glance numbers. You'll note, I hope, that no rating or award is applied to the drive, simply because the comparison is incomplete. SSDs tend to trickle in from manufacturers at a slow rate. The upshot is that, at any one time, we have few same-capacity drives in.

As is mentioned in the copy, we're going to round them all up and benchmark on W7 RTM. You'll see capacity vs capacity and controller vs controller on a wider range of apps.

Think of this as a taster, but we'll add any labs-produced results to this as soon as they become available.

Just to give support to Tarinder & Hexus, I for one asked specifically for results on a 64gb drive following the 256gb crucial review. The official specs make it clear the smaller capacity drives are slower, presumably as the smaller capacity flash chips are slower. Seeing the real world effect of those lower specs is very interesting.

The round up will be really helpful (especially with the promised RAID 0 figures ) but I think this was still a worthwhile preview of some specific results.

Tarinder - how are you setting the RAID0 up? motherboard RAID (e.g. Intel matrix/ICHxR), proper add-in card or both? Personally I'm probably not keen enough to buy a decent hardware card for what, £100-£200, so I'd be most interested in the motherboard option. I guess there's plenty of people that would want to see what the highest performance possible was with a proper RAID card though.

almost into worthwhile getting moneywise territory...when 64gig hit under £100 I'll consider it...but till then...

Old puter - still good enuff till I save some pennies!
