Who needs SSDs for performance - just prefetch your *entire system drive* into memory...

Re: News - Samsung unveils 32GB DDR3 memory module

this is getting annoying now samsung

I've been waiting for that 4Gb DDR2 (now DDR3) chips to arrive for 2 years since the "launch" yet..WHERE ARE THEY!?!? Just like all those crappy "12GB kits" consisting of 6 RAM Dimms... they talk alot but....

yes I know one COULD buy them, somewhere,...but not for a reasonable 24GB for £200 at your local store i.e. 6 x 4GB kit DDR3

My simulations would like that a lot

Re: News - Samsung unveils 32GB DDR3 memory module

We cant even get 2gb ECC DDR3 easily at the moment, 4g even harder and 8g almost impossible (and its $1000 per stick). What platform would even take these?
