Reality is what is true/tangible, therefore a rumour (which is inherently unverified/false) can become a reality.

I don't think the lardyness of the PS3 is the thing that's costing Sony the console war..

Official price will £250 according to Sony. The design is all right nothing special tbh. I think my phat PS3 looks better. They should have put some chrome on for a bit of bling!
Also from the pics I cant see how you would remove the hd? Is it possible with this new one?

Yeah im the same. Was holiding out for this one, its looks "ok" but ill probably just get another "chrome phatty" for the other roomOfficial price will £250 according to Sony. Make it have a gloss and it would look so much better instead of the matt black that makes it look cheap

No but when you've got a halo product like the PS3 in your range and it's not performing as well as you'd like a bit of rebranding to go with your price drop can seem like a very good idea....if it works for them that is.I don't think the lardyness of the PS3 is the thing that's costing Sony the console war..
Why isn't it performing? From what sales figures i've seen, its selling at the same sort of levels that the 360 did at the same period of time. The 360 has 1 year of extra sales over the PS3, with FFXIII (will sell PS3's by the bucket load in Japan) and GT5 still to be released Sony will continue to keep pace with the 360.
So question is, why do you think its not performing?
I'm not bashing Sony... well maybe a little but I don't mean any harm, regardless of sales figures look at how quickly they've come up with the slimmer, sexier rebranded PS3. It was six or seven years before they squeezed the last of the life from the original Playstation hardware with the PSone, the PS2 got it's slimline version four years after the original hit the shelves...
Now the PS3 get's it's slimmed down model less than three years after launch? After Sony bragged about having designed it for a much longer console generation it doesn't seem right. Whether I think the PS3 isn't performing or not is irrelevant, I think somebody at Sony thinks so or we wouldn't be seeing a PS3 Slim coming to shelves this quickly.
I hope it works for them, I'm looking forward to GT5 and Heavy Rain myself this year, I picked up the console pretty much for those games (well them and MGS4) and I think between GT5, Heavy Rain and God of War 3 they're set for a much better year than last year.
