Dammit You Tube is blocked at work...![]()
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
I seriously cannot wait for this game... its gonna be sick!!!
Looks pure awesome tbh.
Ah! The hype machine is really in full swing. I have no doubt it will be a great game, but I think if expectations get much higher then it's only going to disappoint.
I have CoD4 on the PC and then got given it for the 360 at Christmas and the 360 gets a lot more play purely because it is pickup and play when the PC one is a fart on with the lobby system to get a decent game.
I'm not a massive PC Gamer these days either due to the lack of funds to buy yet another PC a year down the line after buying the shuttle that's in my system specs <-------
CoD4 is alright on my system but once online it lags to hell and I have to drop settings all over the place, even more so for CoD WaW so I just stuck with the 360 for the ease of it. With a bairn on the scene it's harder to justify a grand on a decent rig that will last a few years. My PC gaming is literally EVE Online and older games like Max Payne 2 which I am going through again with the HL1 and 2 and TF2 etc with a bit of Left4Dead. I just don't have the money any more to throw at PC's and the over priced graphics cards. The system I have now isn't bad but obviously once again nVidia and ATi chuck out the stupidly powerful cards at a top price tag and the game devs lap it up.
Erm... while it is true that there are still some really high priced graphics card, there are excellent cards like the nvidia 9800/9800+/250 and ATI 4850/70/90 that provide *amazing* performance for £80-150. In many ways, consumers have never had it so good in terms of performance for the price.
Yeah if you aren't in a Shuttle, to fit anything newer than what I have now ( ASUS 8800GTS 512MB G92 core version) I need to do a few mods to newer graphics cards cooling housing and also some hard mods to the motherboard in the shuttle and resolder the 6 pin graphics card power connector.
I could move to the newer SX58 shuttle but that would mean a new cpu and memory all over again just to get a newer GFX. I sort of regret going to Shuttle for a gaming rig but at the time the lack of space and the need for a PC in the space of a shoe box was greater xD.

Can't wait to get this.
Graphics cards are cheaper now than anytime I can remember, especially for the performance. Look at 2 years ago when I stupidly forked out £220 for a 2900XT. Now the top range single ATI card is £150 and the 4850/4770 which are pretty damn good cards at around £70-£80.
Any idea if and when a PC demo will be about?
If there is a demo I reckon they will do the current trend of releasing the game then a week or two before Christmas drop the demo to sell more unit's. From memory this was the case with CoD4. It landed a few weeks after the release and this time around with all the hype I would imagine the demo is secondary atm.
