How come all of a sudden ultra-portable notebooks are all called Netbooks.
Depends on 3 things, price, weight and battery life... if all of those things are good, then I'd be tempted...
4GB of RAM is a bit out there isn't it? Anyway, netbooks are a mess, they should be building down towards smartphones, not up to laptops.
It always was - CULV isn't exactly new (the original 7" EEE was essential a CULV Celeron), but it costs more than Atom. Atom was specifically developed to target a very low price point. That means that if OEMs can persuade you to pay £400 for an Atom-based system they make more profit then charging you £500 for a CULV-based system.
I'll buy a CULV based netbook-sized Timeline if they do one with the discreet Radeon graphics for < £500. Otherwise, I'll be waiting on Congo, I think
