11.6" is stretching the term netbook as ever it did. Stuff ION into a 10.1" screen notebook with chassis to match and then I will consider it

If that battery life is accurate, I'd quite like one of these for random train journeys. Not against the size, although a selection is always nice

There are already 12" devices - although admittedly their price might be higher. Pushing the price down is a useful goal for the market place.

I agree with you that the definition of a netbook shouldn't stretch to 11.6/12".

I feel that a 9/10" device doesn't sacrifice too much screen estate (esp at 1280x720) but remains portable. You get a "Second PC", when you're away from your desktop.

15"+ Laptops are a little overkill as a second/subservient device.

Given that the 11.6" screen is one of the 1366x768 panels and given they've still kept the weight down to netbook levels, even including the 6-cell battery, then I don't think they've pushed it too far.

The N510 looks like to be the replacement for the NC10 I have. Will donate that to the girlfriend I think and get myself one of these
