Wow, thats impressive.
But I wounder if it will have a removeable battery?
Sony managed it on the excellent P series, which was 19.8mm thick.
imho, 0.4 of a millimeter is worth the cost for a removeable battery.

i just want the specs! I doubt the battery is removable tho. Its not like I can afford it anyways
Ok thin is better than fat, just as heavy is worse than light... but really I would be too scared to sneeze on a laptop less than 1cm thick incase I broke it....

USB ports are going to be interesting on this thing.
Looking forward to seeing what the specs and details are though.
hmm...
I'd be more interested to know how the 9mm thing effects the quality of the display after it has been bent a 1000 times i.e. after a year...or would it give you dead pixels after a week? with blurry colours
why are they teasing it? shhouldnt they be teasing us?

Very impressive thickness for a laptop but I'd be scared to take it anywhere for fear of snapping it clean in two accidentally or getting the laptop equivalent of a paper-cut
on a side note, I don't see Dell getting anywhere with the upmarket "luxury" ideas as it's a bit like buying a (perhaps actually) sporty vehicle branded "Aldi".
Oh and no offence to any homosexuals but Adamo by Dell just sounds like a gay night club...what would've been clever is what Toyota started doing ages ago with Lexus...clever marketing and people didn't even know it was Toyota...
Although I'm also one of those people who don't mind paying 10% extra for exactly the same "spec" but with Sony written on it...an innovative and (in it's time, hard working and solid ethos brand)..unlike Dell...which is pants in comparison....a key factor in luxury items is desirability, which Apple oozes...that's pretty much it....I hate apple too for brainwashing people with a "MAC"...(i.e. a crippled pc that runs a modded version of linux) but more to the point:
I bet everyone who buys Dell laptop at some point (point of resale) realises that they ALWAYS get less than they hoped for it...THERE. Don't buy it then, Residual value of Sony is great, residual value of mac pro books is exceptional...
not sure why I'm blabbing here....I'm of to eat me pasta
It could have an OLED screen.
Dell prices have been competitive for years now - things like the original Vostros left pretty much everything else for dead. The brand name might not oose sexy (though come on... Aldi? Aldi is Advent (and the horrible, plastic gaming laptops from Toshiba and MSI)... Acer, HP and Lenovo are miles above the likes of Advent, but still sit well below Dell in those stakes), but the laptops themselves are usually damn fine. If this Adamo is more of the same, then it's only a good thing.
It's form first and last. Frankly I'd have hoped Hexus members were above that brand-name sexy crap anyway.
I think my XPS M1530 is still one of the best laptops around. It's stupidly quick, classy (like a Lian-Li chassis in notebook form), built like a rock and cheaper than similarly specced laptops when I bought it. What more can you ask for?

completely different imo, GM didn't create Aston. Dell is notorious for their "pass the buck" ethos
Also, it's funny how many people actually believe that they don't care about branding but do it every time they make a purchase...food, clothing etc...
As Danny D said in The Twins, "money talks bs walks"....
