    I hate WD.

Do they have any idea of the social harm they do? DO THEY? Do they not know that I'm totally addicted to passport drives, and will now have to upgrade? GAAAHHHHH.

Seriously: nice. I'm now on, I think, about my 4th Passport, a 500gb elite. Lovely items. Not had one fail yet, touchwood.

Very nice, if they get any smaller then they will be able to get lost really easily

3rd for me, I stay away from flagship capacity (cost reasons). But I don't think I want anymore than that. I may start replacing my smallest drive (160GB), but anymore and it'll take too much space in the laptop case and hog too many USB ports.

But when, oh when, will they offer us solid state versions that can be implanted into the distal phalanx of a finger (or toe, so you can keep typing, perhaps)? Hell, I don't use my right forearm bones for much, and you could EASILY fit a couple of gig in there. Scoop the marrow out, the rest of my bones could easily take over the blood production requirements.

10 years? 20? Or will we have wireless, quantum storage devices in our heads by that point?

Oh my days they have got bloody tiny now aint they. I've still got an old school 250GB My Book that is like two inches wide and like four inches long. One of these new ones would be lovely, shame I'm a poor ole student.
