Makes no difference how fast they make it when it doesnt have the Addons that Firefox does.
Sure they have a bookmark sync built in but where is the proper (non kludged) Adblock and Flashblock and how have they engaged with Devs to get smaller Addons ported?
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
I want them to include RSS feeds........
:(
I still use it, though.
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
I'd rather use FF for plugins and Opera for speed/features than this tbh.
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
Still the same ole Chrome really. They've done the Windows 7 taskbar integration though.
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
I've had the beta for a while and the biggest thing missing, is still a "print preview" ability! or come to that, printing that actually works correctly for the majority of WEB pages.... Though I will still continue to use it, if only because I don't like IE!
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
Mikeo, if you are just using it to avoid IE, then I would seriously suggest Opera.
Doesn't have the extensions like FF, but is an excellent browser.

Funkstar
Thanks for that.
My comment was a little "tongue in cheek".
Quite happy with chrome (other than "print preview"). Just that I don't like IE. Never had Chrome lock up or stop responding. Which is more than I can say for IE. And it's pretty nippy.
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
Fair enough. may still be worth looking at Opera. I think the print functions work pretty well :)
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
The Dev branch is already at 4.0.206.1 and it does suport User.js files aswell as addons/extensions in the form of CRX files.
I've not bothered with the extensions that much NoSpeedDial + AdSweep + AdBlock+ - all JS files, seems to work well for me.
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
Google Chrome now also support Windows 7 better, as it now takes advantage of Windows 7 Taskbar jump lists.
This give you the ability to open a recently closed tab or window, and the most viewed site straight from the taskbar.
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
Never used Chrome before, installed Chromium today (v4.0.212.0), and I have to say it does seem zippier than my favorite browser Firefox and it renders all the sites I use regularly with no issues.
I didn't think I would ever leave FF but I could well become a convert to Chromium now, despite the fact it does not have FF's range of addons/plugins but I can live with that.
Re: News - Google Chrome 3 released, promises to be faster than ever
i've been using Google Chrome for a few days now just because of the "email client" in Opera popping up instead of Windows Live Mail everytime i pressed the email key on my keyboard.
i must say, i'm incredibly impressed and will definitely be sticking with it as my main browser.

Still no meaningful extension support = still not interested.
