My school is equipped with an older version of these, and they are virtually impossible to use effectively. Avoid like the plague.

Oh, and the buttons also break after about a year's moderate use.

Re: News - Gyration expands line of motion-sensing peripherals with Air Mouse Elite

I use a Gyration air mouse to control my HTPC. Once you get the hang of it (which does not take long) it is natural and easy to use. So "avoid like the plague", no - I thing mine is great and does exactly the job I want it to do - which is to allow me to control my HTPC sitting on a sofa. Controllers can be very personal things - I have a great dislike for trackpads, but since a lot of people get on with them, they cannot be all bad.
